DANBURY, Conn., Oct. 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- ATMI, Inc. (NASDAQ:ATMI), a supplier of materials and materials packaging to the world's leading semiconductor manufacturers, today announced that it has been named to Deloitte's prestigious Technology Fast 50 Program for Connecticut, a ranking of the 50 fastest growing technology companies in the State. Rankings are based on percentage revenue growth over five years from 2000-2004. This is the eighth consecutive year that ATMI has been ranked in the Technology Fast 50 for Connecticut. "ATMI's long track record of sustained growth comes from our focus on pioneering semiconductor materials and materials packaging technologies - and from working closely with our customers, the world's leading integrated circuit producers," said Doug Neugold, Chief Executive Officer and President. "Our innovations create significant cost and manufacturing benefits that our customers value highly. Our focus on their future will remain the driver of ATMI's growth." To qualify for the Connecticut Technology Fast 50, companies must have had operating revenues of at least $50,000 in 2000 and $1,000,000 in 2004, be headquartered in Connecticut, and be a "technology company," defined as a company that owns proprietary technology that contributes to a significant portion of the company's operating revenues; or devotes a significant proportion of revenues to the research and development of technology. Using other companies' technology in a unique way does not qualify.
