Power Enterprise Data Warehouse

WESTBORO, Mass., Feb. 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Ascential Software
Corporation (NASDAQ:ASCL), the enterprise data integration leader, today
announced that the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the main source of
multilateral financing for economic, social and institutional development in
Latin America and the Caribbean, has selected Ascential DataStage (TM) to
populate and maintain its enhanced enterprise data warehouse. Ascential
DataStage enables the IDB to access, transform and integrate large volumes of
operational, analytical and transactional business data for improved asset and
risk management, while at the same time eliminating costly, time-consuming
hand-coding.
The IDB provides Latin American and Caribbean member countries with financing
and technical assistance to achieve environmentally sustainable economic
growth, increase competitiveness, enhance social equity and fight poverty,
modernize the state and foster free trade and regional integration.
With the data integration solution from Ascential Software, the IDB will
