Ascential Software Receives Regulatory Approvals Required for Its
Acquisition by IBM
WESTBORO, Mass., April 28 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Ascential Software
Corporation (NASDAQ:ASCL) today announced it has received all regulatory
approvals required prior to the consummation of its acquisition by
International Business Machines Corporation. The transaction remains subject to
stockholder approval, and will be voted upon at a special meeting of
stockholders scheduled for tomorrow morning at 10:00 ET. As previously
announced on March 14, 2005, IBM and Ascential Software signed a definitive
agreement for Ascential to be acquired by IBM.
