Avenue A | Razorfish, one of the largest interactive services firms in
the world and an operating unit of aQuantive, Inc. (NASDAQ: AQNT) today
announced its recently acquired company, Amnesia, was named the
interactive agency of the year by AdNews magazine, Australia’s
top advertising, marketing and media publication with a circulation of
more than 60,000.
Amnesia received the honor this month in Sydney at the AdNews
annual awards dinner which recognized both traditional and interactive
advertising agencies. A total of 12 agencies were nominated for the
interactive award. For Network of the Year, Amnesia made the final four
out of 80 agencies nominated. Amnesia also received the coveted “People’s
Choice Award”, an honorary distinction from
David Clutterbuck, editor of AdNews.
“We are extremely proud of our Australian
team. This award is well-deserved as showcased by the remarkable work
they’ve been doing for high profile clients
such as Microsoft and Disney,” said Clark
Kokich, worldwide president of Avenue A | Razorfish. “Amnesia
has been an outstanding addition to the Avenue A | Razorfish global
family, consistently providing the very best in client service and
creative innovation.”
In 2006, Amnesia won 16 new accounts including Weight Watchers, Expedia
and Starwood Hotels in addition to opening a new office in Tokyo.
Amnesia supports their digital marketing campaigns through research and
exit polls the team performs on every Web site they produce to measure
and test customer experience. Since the Avenue A | Razorfish acquisition
in July, Amnesia has managed to increase their staff while providing
training and various incentives to recruit and retain employees.
“Being named the interactive agency of the
year by AdNews is an incredible honor,”
stated Iain McDonald, managing director of Amnesia. “2006
was an exciting year for us. We’ve worked
with some great clients who gave us the opportunity to stretch our
creative limits. With the recent growth of our team and the addition of
our Tokyo office, we look forward to more success in the year ahead.”
