Anaren To Expand Operations In New York and China

SYRACUSE, N.Y., June 8  /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Anaren, Inc. (NASDAQ:ANEN) announced today that its Board of Directors has approved the expansion of Anaren's design and manufacturing facilities in East Syracuse, New York and Suzhou, China.  The East Syracuse, New York expansion includes the construction of a 54,000 square foot addition to the Company's 105,000 square foot headquarters, and will more than double the Company's existing Space and Defense Group operations.  Anaren requested and received a grant from New York's Empire State Development to help fund the expansion.  The project is expected to be completed in the second quarter of calendar year 2007.

In Suzhou, China, the Company will be relocating its existing 25,000 square foot Wireless Infrastructure manufacturing operation to a new 76,000 square foot facility to accommodate its growing wireless component business. The new facility is projected to be on line in the fourth quarter of calendar year 2006, and the Company does not anticipate any interruption of production in Suzhou as a result of the planned relocation.
