Anaren Announces New Board Member

SYRACUSE, N.Y., Sept. 6  /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Anaren, Inc. (NASDAQ:ANEN) today announced that Robert U. Roberts, has been named to the Company's Board of Directors.  Mr. Roberts is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Syracuse Research Corporation, a not-for-profit, independent research and development organization based in Syracuse, New York. Prior to joining Syracuse Research Corporation, Mr. Roberts worked for Logicon/UltraSystems as its Vice President of Program Development and also worked for Eastman Kodak's Government Systems Division as Director of Advance Programs.  Mr. Roberts is a 20-year Air Force veteran and a graduate of the Air Force Institute of Technology, and also attended the Industrial College of the Armed Forces.  Lawrence A. Sala, President and CEO said "Bob's extensive experience working successfully with various government defense agencies coupled with his extensive management experience will further diversify and strengthen the Company's Board of Directors."
