Sheridan, the Physician Services division of AMSURG Corp. (NASDAQ: AMSG), today announced the acquisition of Resolute Anesthesia and Pain Solutions and South Lake Anesthesia Services, P.A., further expanding its anesthesiology services business in Florida, New Jersey and Missouri and establishing its initial presence in Illinois.

Resolute Anesthesia and Pain Solutions, headquartered in Boca Raton, Florida, is one of the largest ambulatory-based anesthesiology practices in the country, with more than 100 providers. Resolute delivers anesthesia and pain management services through a network of over 30 facilities in Florida, New Jersey, Missouri and Illinois consisting of 20 ambulatory surgery centers, three hospitals, and nine pain management clinics.

South Lake Anesthesia Services supports both inpatient and outpatient procedures as the exclusive provider of anesthesia services at South Lake Hospital, South Lake Hospital Outpatient Surgery Center, and South Lake Endoscopy Center in Clermont, Florida, all in affiliation with the Orlando Health System.
