AMSURG’s Physician Services Division – Sheridan – Acquires Fidere Anesthesia Consultants, Inc.

Sheridan, the Physician Services division of AMSURG Corp. (NASDAQ: AMSG), has further expanded its anesthesiology services business and its footprint in Northern California, through the acquisition of Fidere Anesthesia Consultants, Inc. The group is comprised of 38 physicians covering seven facilities. It delivers both inpatient and outpatient anesthesia services for the El Camino Hospital System, as well as a number of ambulatory surgery centers, based in Silicon Valley. The combination provides a synergistic complement to Physician Services’ previous Northern California acquisition – Medical Anesthesia Consultants.
