Shares of Alexion Pharmaceuticals Inc. (ALXN) were off about 5% to $102.40 on Wednesday after the company named its next finance chief.
The company said CFO Paul Clancy will be succeeded by Aradhana Sarin, currently its chief strategy and business officer, later this year. The transition will take place after the company reports its third-quarter financial results, Alexion said. Ms. Sarin joined the company in November 2017.
Mr. Clancy is expected to stay on as a senior adviser until mid-2020 when his employment agreement expires, according to a Tuesday securities filing.
Alexion shares are up about 5% this year, but down 15% over the past 12 months.
