SANTA CLARA, Calif., Nov. 10  /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Affymetrix, Inc.
(NASDAQ:AFFX) today announced that company management will provide an overview
of the company and outline future growth opportunities at two upcoming
financial conferences.

Greg Schiffman, Senior Vice President and CFO will present at the Credit Suisse
First Boston Annual Health Care Conference, which is being held in Phoenix,
Arizona. A live transmission of the presentation will take place at 3 p.m.
MST/2 p.m. PST on Wednesday, November 17th. An archived webcast will be
available through November 24th, 2004.

Mr. Schiffman will also present at the Lehman Brothers Small Cap Conference
which is also being held in Phoenix. A live transmission of the presentation
will take place at 10 a.m. MST/9 a.m. PST on Thursday, November 18th. An
archived webcast will be available through November 25th, 2004.
