AFC Announces Plans for USTA Telecom '04 in Las Vegas
New ADSL2+ Card and Legg Mason Financial Conference Headline the Company's
Agenda
PETALUMA, Calif., Oct. 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- AFC(R) (NASDAQ:AFCI), The
Acronym for Access(SM), today announced its participation in a series of events
and activities at the Telecom '04 Annual Conference & Exposition. Sponsored by
the United States Telecom Association (USTA), the convention will be held
October 9-13 at the Venetian Hotel and Convention Center in Las Vegas. The
convention will provide the backdrop for the first demonstration of AFC's new
ADSL2+ plug-in card in booth 501.
Additionally, AFC's vice president and chief technical officer, Jim Sackman, is
slated to speak at the Legg Mason Financial Conference, which is being held in
conjunction with USTA Telecom '04. Sackman will also host an informal breakfast
at the convention where different fiber strategies, including Fiber-to-the-Node
(FTTN), Fiber-to-the-Curb (FTTC) and Fiber-to-the-Premises (FTTP), will be
discussed.
Sean Blakley, AFC's senior product line manager for integrated services, will
be participating in a high-level panel discussion on critical success factors
in the digital TV marketplace, talking about seamlessly integrating HDTV,
Video-on-Demand (VoD), interactive electronic program guides and interactive TV
with traditional services to provide a comprehensive viewer experience.
