AdStar to Market Mobile Advertising Technology as a Result of
Distribution Agreement With Northman Matrix International
NMI Also Agrees to Market AdStar's Ad-Transaction Services to European
Customers
MARINA DEL REY, Calif. and OULU, Finland, Oct. 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ --
AdStar, Inc. (NASDAQ:ADSTNASDAQ:ADSTW) today signed a letter of intent to enter
into an international marketing agreement with Northman Matrix International Oy
(NMI). As a result of the pending agreement, AdStar will market to its
newspaper customers the NMI Active Media Service solution, which enables
advertisers to use multiple media channels, including cell phones, Short
Message Service (SMS), Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS), personal digital
assistants (PDAs) and the Internet, to reach interactive, mobile consumers. The
agreement will also allow NMI to market AdStar's suite of e-commerce and
ad-transaction services to advertisers and publishers in Europe.
"AdStar and NMI share a common vision of delivering self-service Internet and
mobile solutions to the publishing industry to help newspapers truly
e-commerce-enable their online classified ads," said Leslie Bernhard, president

NMI's Active Media Service enables true cross-media advertising by using a
variety of media and communication devices to help advertisers connect with
their target audience. Advertisers can use the service to submit
advertisements while consumers can use the service to browse, respond to and
delete advertisements.
