ADC (NASDAQ:ADCTD)(www.adc.com) today announced its new LoopStar(R) 810 Customer-Located Equipment (CLE) SONET access system, the latest addition to its family of advanced, next-generation SONET access solutions. LoopStar access systems enable service providers to cost-effectively deploy and manage TDM and Ethernet services to end-user customers from a single platform. The LoopStar 810 will be featured in ADC's booth (No. 23018) at SUPERCOMM 2005, June 7-9 in Chicago. The LoopStar 810 is designed specifically for CLE applications where service providers can deliver Ethernet business services as well as traditional DS1 and DS3 TDM-based services easily and economically. The product's compact design allows for easy installation in customer premises environments with limited space, and its integrated connector-interface panel and wall-mount bracket for complete front access to all cable connections offer multiple deployment options. The LoopStar 810 also features centralized management control with the LoopStar 800 EMS, an advanced, user-friendly Graphical User Interface (GUI) Element Management System (EMS) for controlling and managing the LoopStar access systems. An on-board, Web-Local Craft Terminal is also provided for smaller distributed applications and craft access. "Service providers need cost-effective and easy-to-deploy solutions that extend SONET network services to their end-user customers," said Mike Pratt, president of the Wireline and Wireless Business Units for ADC. "The LoopStar 810 offers unique flexibility with rich feature functionality that will help them broaden their services offerings and generate new revenue through its advanced multi-service transport and networking capabilities." The LoopStar 810 system is the latest addition to ADC's comprehensive portfolio of Wireline products for service providers and private networks. The portfolio also includes the LoopStar 800 SONET Access System, LoopStar 200 Line-Powered Wi-Fi solutions, the SG-1 Service Gateway, Soneplex(R) Loop Extender systems and broadband systems, HiGain(R) modules and Wideband 3190 systems, as well as the Megabit Modem family of DSL-based customer premise equipment.
