Network Infrastructure Solutions Designed to Enable High-Speed
Services and Efficiently Manage Communication Across Any Network
ADC (NASDAQ:ADCTD, www.adc.com), will showcase its portfolio of
network infrastructure equipment and services designed for wireline,
wireless, and enterprise networks at SUPERCOMM 2005 (Booth Nos. 23018
and 21066) here, June 7 - 9. The products and services featured in
ADC's exhibit space include a full suite of fiber-to-the-x (FTTX)
solutions for the Central Office (CO) and Outside Plant, wireless
coverage and capacity solutions, Ethernet solutions for service
providers and enterprises, and professional services.
"Each year, ADC attends SUPERCOMM to showcase our innovative
network infrastructure capabilities and address new strategies to help
carriers reduce operating costs and increase revenues," said Robert E.
Switz, president and chief executive officer for ADC. "ADC is a leader
in global network infrastructure solutions and with the market share
gains we have experienced in recent months, our customers feel we're
offering the best in quality network products and services. At
SUPERCOMM, we demonstrate our high-performance solutions that connect
communications everywhere."
Fiber Solutions Enable High Performance
ADC's OmniReach(R) FTTX Infrastructure Solutions are the
industry's first platforms designed from the ground up to meet the
unique requirements of FTTX networks. By building high-speed networks
with OmniReach Fiber Distribution Terminals and frames, service
providers accelerate deployment and maximize operational efficiency
from the central office to the outside plant. In addition, ADC
launched a new Multi-service Terminal (MST) designed to help service
providers accelerate drop deployment and connect to the customer
premises.
Carrier Ethernet Services
In this high-growth area, carriers must deliver highly reliable,
highly secure, services on which enterprises can count. Data network
infrastructure becomes critical to the success of business services
delivery. ADC delivers a full suite of products designed to help
carriers deliver Ethernet services, including the LoopStar 800/810
SONET Access Systems designed to help carriers deploy and manage
existing hicap T1 and next-gen Ethernet based broadband services using
existing TDM networks and local loop facility infrastructure; Ethernet
Distribution Frames that serve a centralized distribution point; and
the Ethernet Network Interface Unit (ENIU) installed at the remote
premise, to provide the demarcation point between the customer and
carrier network. In ADC's booth at SUPERCOMM 2005, visitors can see
ADC's new Ethernet Network Interface Unit (ENIU) combined with EXFO's
Packet Blazer Gigabit Ethernet testers that enable service providers
to remotely troubleshoot networks, customer access lines and related
services, and assure customer service level agreements (SLAs).
Wireless Innovations
ADC helps wireless operators deliver more services deeper into the
network with innovative wireless solutions. Digivance Digital
Distributed Antenna Systems (D-DAS) allow wireless carriers to deliver
consistent, reliable wireless service in high-demand and hard-to-reach
locations. The newest addition to the product family, Digivance
Street-Level Coverage Solution (SCS), offers superior digital
performance and the industry's highest available optical loss budget.
Centralization of the base radio capacity affords the most
cost-effective, environmentally friendly coverage approach.
Carriers deploying Wi-Fi hotspots can turn to ADC to leverage
legacy equipment and generate new revenue with minimal up-front costs.
ADC's LoopStar(R) 200 Wi-Fi solutions, featuring line-powering
capability, allow access points to be located where needed when
commercial power is not readily available.
In addition to the infrastructure solutions showcased at its booth
in McCormick Center's South Hall, ADC's mobile exhibit trailer (Booth
No. 21066) will also be on display. At the mobile exhibit, ADC will
feature its LoopStar span-powered Wi-Fi solution, which includes a
hardened access point carriers can use to deliver Wi-Fi hotspots and
ubiquitous access for their customers. A Wi-Fi Cafe will also be
available for attendees to experience how effective wireless hotspots
can be deployed in virtually any location.
Professional Services
As services become the focus of carrier networks, ADC's
Professional Services group has expanded, increasing deployments with
carriers to assist in their network initiatives. Professional Services
from ADC focus on quick response, high quality and fast deployment,
enabling carriers to deliver new revenue generating services quickly
and efficiently. The Professional Services Group recently announced
and expanded service offering for FTTX networks. This comprehensive
set of services now includes central office (CO) and outside-plant
(OSP) FTTX deployments, enabling carriers to speed deployment, lower
deployment costs, obtain consistent quality from site to site, and
improve time to market and revenues for new broadband services.
Enterprise Connectivity
ADC's solutions for enterprise networks include a portfolio of
enterprise infrastructure offerings such as CopperTen(TM), a patented
product family that enables 10 gigabit-Ethernet to be delivered on
unshielded twisted pair cabling. Recently, the company launched its
TrueNet Structured Cabling Solution throughout the North and South
America, Europe, Australia, and India. The TrueNet System combines
proven cable, connectivity, and cable management solutions for fiber,
10 Gigabit Ethernet over UTP copper, and Category 6/5e from the data
center to the desktop.
