Windstream, a provider of voice, high-speed Internet and high-definition digital TV services in 23 states, has signed a multiyear agreement with Acxiom® Corporation (Nasdaq: ACXM) for enterprise-wide IT infrastructure management services.

Acxiom is providing fully managed mainframe services as well as co-location services for mid-range servers. In addition, the agreement calls for a seamless migration of Windstream’s IT infrastructure to Acxiom’s data center as well as an aggressive implementation timeline. Through careful planning and a strong partnership between the two companies, the migration was measured as a success when it resulted in no interruption of service to Windstream’s business and clients.

“Acxiom offers a solution that supports our growth plans while providing the cost efficiencies and flexibility needed to support our business strategies,” said Cindy Nash, chief information officer of Windstream. “Acxiom has demonstrated delivery excellence and flawless migration capabilities throughout the six-month transition. We feel confident about our decision to partner with Acxiom and look forward to evolving this relationship.”

“Windstream’s growth plan required that Acxiom migrate their environment aggressively – which we were able to do very successfully,” said John Adams, chief operating officer and executive vice president of Acxiom. “Acxiom’s expertise in providing secure, high-performance infrastructure and transformation services allows companies like Windstream to optimize their data and leverage it to deliver greater value to the business, which is a key priority for leading CIOs.”
