KEYSTONE HEIGHTS, Fla., May 19 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- American Access
Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ:AATK) is pleased to announce that the Company was
featured in a full page article in the business section of the May 16, 2005
edition of The Florida Times-Union, the leading daily newspaper in the
Jacksonville, Florida market.
The article highlighted the implementation of a newly purchased laser cutting
machine, which allows for a faster manufacturing process in the production of
zone cabling, wireless enclosures and other metal products. The new machinery,
which cost approximately one million dollars, can be easily programmed for
specific design needs and enables the Company to automate the metal cutting
process, thereby increasing production and quality while reducing costs.
John Presley, Chief Executive Officer, commented, "We bought it knowing what it
will do for us. The laser has been operating for a few months and its
production is ahead of our initial projections."
In expectations of profitability in 2005, Joe McGuire, Chief Financial Officer,
stated, "The article focused on our capital spending on new manufacturing
equipment, improving efficiencies, record sales in 2004 and newly issued
standards within the industry, which incorporates our products. The first
quarter of 2005 was the best first quarter in sales in the Company's history."
