American Access Technologies Announces Management Changes

KEYSTONE HEIGHTS, Fla., May 5  /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- John E. Presley, president and CEO of American Access Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ:AATK), is leaving the company and an interim president has been announced by the company's board of directors. Presley has held the post since 1999. The board named Erik Wiisanen, current VP - sales and marketing of the company's Omega Metals division to serve as interim chief executive officer.

"We are grateful for the company's many accomplishments under his leadership as founder of Omega Metals in 1981 and president and CEO of American Access since 1999."

The company's Corporate Governance and Nominating Committee has begun assessing the leadership needs of the company and implementing a process for the selection of a permanent successor.

Presley will remain a director until the 2006 annual meeting of shareholders.
