TECO Barge Line Names New Vice President and General Manager



TAMPA, Fla., Feb. 8  /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- TECO Transport, a subsidiary of
TECO Energy, Inc., announces the appointment of W. David O'Neill as Vice
President and General Manager of TECO Barge Line.

Based in Metropolis, Ill., TECO Barge Line is a full-service river barge line
transporting dry bulk and break products on the inland waterway system. With
more than 750 barges, TECO Barge Line ranks among the leading river barge
companies serving the Mississippi, Illinois and Ohio rivers for domestic and
export markets.

At TECO Barge Line, O'Neill will be responsible for all vessel operations,
fleet management, government relations and strategic plan development and
implementation. He holds an active maters license and can operate vessels
ranging from 150 H.P. to 10,500 H.P., and is certified to navigate all major
western rivers.

Formerly vice president of operations for Ingram Barge Company, O'Neill had
been with the company since 1990. He earned a B.S. in Business Management from
Mid-Continent University in Mayfield, Kentucky.
