GEM Inks Deal With Sygenics To Offer Online Music Downloads 


MONTREAL, March 5  /PRNewswire/ -- Grand Entertainment and Music, Inc. has
signed an agreement with Sygenics Corp. of Montreal to create an online music
distribution site for more than 5,000exclusive titles.

GEM's music catalogues, ranging from pop, children's, classical, salsa and rap,
can be sampled and then downloaded for 99-cents per track. The site is expected
to be in operation by this summer.

"We're thrilled that we can now offerour excellent talent stable to the public
in this mass market format," said GEM president Fred Berlin.

"It levels the playing field with the major labels. The public can easily listen
to the music GEM has been producing for the past ten years and thenpurchase it
instantly," he added.

"It's a great way of showcasing our new talent.

"We believe GEM will see a significant increase in revenues in the current
fiscal year with this new sales effort," Berlin said.

The site being designed by GEM and Sygenics will allow clients to customize
their downloads and make the CD mix they like best. Other smaller music
producers will be invited to use the GEM site for a fee.

Grand Entertainment, which trades under ticker symbol GENM on NASDAQ-OTC, has
been producing popularly priced music CD's for more than ten years. It markets
music in three languages -- English, Spanish, and French.

GEM recently announced that it is setting up a DVD division to add visual
segments of various groups and artists to their sound tracks.

"We have become one of the top 20 music production houses in North America, and
we believe our new initiatives will help us move even higher up that ladder,"
Berlin said.
