CIGNA HealthCare of Texas Adds Amy Schornick as Vice President of Network Operations for North Texas and Oklahoma

DALLAS, Aug. 28, 2006  /PRNewswire/ -- CIGNA HealthCare of Texas announced today that is has hired Amy Schornick as vice president of network operations for its North Texas and Oklahoma markets. Schornick brings extensive contracting, provider relations and consultative experience to the position.

Most recently, Schornick served as the director of contracting for Texas Health Resources, leading managed care contracting and strategy and reengineering operations to improve efficiencies for one of the largest health care systems in the country. Her background also includes leadership positions with Theraphysics, Columbia/HCA and tenure with Anthem Health.

Schornick has a bachelor's degree from Southwestern University (Texas) and an MBA from the University of Texas. She is also active in many professional organizations, including the Texas Hospital Association, the Health Industry Council and the Texas Health Resources Mentor Program.
