Total SA (TOT) reduced rates to a gasoline making unit for the second day in a row Tuesday after a snag at the Port Arthur, Texas, refinery, according to a filing with state environmental regulators.
Tuesday afternoon, a snag at the off-gas treater prompted the company to reduce rates to a fluid catalytic cracking unit, the company wrote in a report to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.
In the first incident, the SCOT unit was shut down Monday afternoon so the refinery could reduce rates at a fluid catalytic cracking unit, according to another environmental report.
ConocoPhillips (COP) sulfur recover unit at its Borger, Texas refinery will be undergoing scheduled maintenance beginning Wednesday, the company said in a filing with the state environmental agency.
