AEGIS APPOINTS NEW HEAD OF EUROPEAN MEDIA OPERATIONS


Aegis Group plc ("Aegis") - the media communications and market research group -
announced today the appointment of Jerry Buhlmann (43) as Chief Executive of
Aegis Media Europe, Middle East and Africa with immediate effect.  Jerry was
previously Chief Executive of Carat International with responsibility for some
of Carat's largest international accounts.


Jerry Buhlmann has worked with the Aegis Group for 13 years and was the founder
of UK media agency, BBJ, which was acquired by Aegis. BBJ has become the basis
of the UK arm of Vizeum, Aegis's new media network. Jerry became COO of Carat
International in 1999 and was promoted to Chief Executive in 2001.


Susannah Outfin (38), currently Vice President Carat International Paris,
replaces Jerry as Chief Executive of Carat International.  She will operate out
of both Paris and London. Susannah has worked closely with Carat's major
international clients for the last four years.

Susannah, who is also a great talent, has progressed rapidly at Carat
International and has contributed greatly to its development. In her new role
this will undoubtedly continue and she will do an outstanding job.

About Jerry Buhlmann

Jerry Buhlmann (age 43) founded and was managing director of UK media agency BBJ
for 10 years before selling his stake to Aegis Group Plc in 1999.  He was
subsequently appointed CEO of Carat  International and was responsible for
developing and managing all the key international accounts of the Carat Network
including adidas, BMW, Coca Cola, Danone, Disney, LVMH, Philips, Renault and
Vodafone.  Jerry is a member of the Aegis Media Global Executive board and also
a member of the IPA and the Marketing Society.

Susannah Outfin (38) was media director of Amirati Puris Lintas in Paris.  She
joined Carat in 2000 as international business director and was appointed Head
of Carat International's Paris office in 2002.  In this role she was responsible
for managing a number of key international accounts including Danone, LVMH and
Renault.
