New Opportunities Investment Trust PLC ("NOIT" or the "Company")

Offers ("the Offers") from Enneurope plc ("Enneurope")
The Board of NOIT notes that Enneurope had, by 1.00pm on 3 September 2003, owned
or had received valid acceptances of the Offers in respect of 46.65% of the
existing issued share capital of NOIT and, accordingly, that the Offers have
lapsed.
Since 31 March 2003 (the date on which the Company's interim results for the
period from launch to 31 December 2002 were announced) the unaudited NAV has
increased 47% from 61.85p to 90.87p (as at 2 September 2003). The Board will be
announcing the Company's preliminary results for the year ended 30 September
2003 in October.
