RNS Number:7294S Amer Group PLC 02 December 2003 2 December 2003 Amer Group Plc AMER GROUP'S ATOMIC (WINTER SPORTS DIVISION) ACQUIRES VOLANT BRAND Atomic, the Winter Sports Division of Amer Group Plc, is expanding its offerings by acquiring the Volant ski brand from Huffy Corporation. Volant is a North American based ski brand which is mainly sold at the top-end of the market. The acquisition also includes several ski technology patents. The turnover of the brand in 2003 is expected to be around 4 million euros. Volant skis have been produced in Atomic's Altenmarkt factory on an OEM basis for the past two years.
