Volt Information Sciences Appoints Herb Mueller as Chief Financial Officer

Volt Information Sciences, Inc. (“Volt” or the “Company”) (NYSE-AMERICAN: VISI), an international provider of staffing services and managed service programs, today announced that Herb Mueller has been appointed Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer of the Company, effective August 24, 2019. After four years, Paul Tomkins will be stepping down from his role as CFO on August 23, 2019, to pursue other opportunities.

Mr. Mueller brings over 30 years of finance expertise to the Company. Most recently, he served as the Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President at Resources Global Professionals ("RGP"), a California-based multinational provider of professional consulting services and the operating subsidiary of Resources Connection, Inc., a publicly traded NASDAQ-listed company. He was promoted to CFO of RGP in August 2016, after successfully leading a regional practice as a Managing Director.

Prior to his roles at RGP, Mr. Mueller was the Chief Financial Officer, Vice President, Accounting & Administration, and Treasurer of Delta Apparel, Inc., a publicly traded apparel manufacturer and distributor. He has also served as a Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer of TTA Partners, Inc., a holding company focused on investments in the advertising industry. Mr. Mueller holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Columbus State University and is a certified public accountant (inactive).

Mr. Tomkins will be leaving after having played an instrumental role in driving positive change to foundational aspects of the Company. His accomplishments include strengthening the Company’s balance sheet and liquidity position, significantly reducing debt by exiting non-core businesses, monetizing real estate, reducing SG&A and tightly managing working capital.
