Deal Includes Branded Video Content from CNN, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, NASCAR.COM and First-of-its-Kind Deal for TCM 


ATLANTA, March 7  /PRNewswire/ -- Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. (TBS, Inc.) recently signed its most extensive video distribution deal to date with Cingular Wireless, it was announced today by Dennis Quinn, executive vice president, business development, TBS, Inc.  TBS, Inc. will provide branded video content from CNN, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, NASCAR.COM and Turner Classic Movies (TCM).  This deal marks the first wireless distribution deal for TCM.

Video content from CNN, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim and TCM will be made available to customers as part of Cingular's Unlimited Data Plan.  Content from NASCAR.COM will be offered to customers as a Premium Channel.  Content provided by the TBS, Inc. brands includes the following:

   - CNN, the world's news leader, will provide video-on-demand clips from
     Now in the News (updated hourly) and will feature additional
     programming offered from categories including Top Stories, Business
     News, Sports, Politics and Entertainment.
   - Drawing from the world's largest cartoon library, Cartoon Network will
     provide video content from the network's original series, including The
     Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy, The Powerpuff Girls, Foster's Home
     for Imaginary Friends, Codename: Kids Next Door and Dexter's
     Laboratory.
   - Adult Swim, Cartoon Network's late night sister service dedicated to
     edgy animated comedy and action series, will provide video content from
     original productions, including The Venture Bros., Aqua Teen Hunger
     Force, Sealab 2021 and Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law.
   - NASCAR.COM content will consist of a "race preview," a weekly video
     program highlighting an upcoming NASCAR race, and a "race review," a
     weekly video program recapping the most recent NASCAR race.
   - TCM, representing the greatest motion pictures of all time from one of
     the largest film libraries in the world, will provide such video
     content as famous movie scenes and clips, original movie trailers,
     cartoons, short subjects and behind-the-scenes footage focusing on
     classic movies.
