Accomplished Comedian and Actor to Join TCM Host Robert Osborne on June 14 ATLANTA, June 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Turner Classic Movies welcomes Larry Miller as he discusses with TCM host Robert Osborne his passion for classic film and introduces such selections as The Adventures of Robin Hood (1938) and The Big Sleep (1946) on GUEST PROGRAMMER Thursday, June 14. Each month on this movie showcase, TCM invites a celebrity to exchange his/her star status for a role as a devoted fan of classic film by picking four favorite movies and sharing with viewers what he/she has come to love about each one. (Photo: http://www.newscom.com/cgi-bin/prnh/20070607/CLTH104 ) Miller tells Osborne, "[Cary Grant] has such drama in this - he'll break your heart," in his introduction of Mr. Lucky (1943). He picks Ride the High Country (1962), a Western about the friendship between two aging cowboys, because despite its director's reputation for violence, "No one understands love better than Sam Peckinpah." Miller goes on to say, "If you haven't seen Errol Flynn's The Adventures of Robin Hood, you have no business saying you love movies." And he says he chose The Big Sleep because he admires the sexy camaraderie of Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall. Miller will join a list of past guest programmers that includes, among others, Mia Farrow, fashion designer Tom Ford, Bill Cosby, Burt Reynolds, Hugh Hefner; fashion designer Isaac Mizrahi, Mario Cantone, writer David Mamet, Chevy Chase, Lorraine Bracco and Tom Kenny (the voice of SpongeBob SquarePants). Other personalities scheduled for upcoming installments of GUEST PROGRAMMER include Danny DeVito, Whoopi Goldberg, Martha Stewart, Cybill Shephard and Donald Trump.
