It is clear that the postal dispute has been causing shareholders great
difficulty getting application forms to the registrar and it seems probable that
a number are stuck in the post.
Whilst encouraging shareholders to gamble in our clubs the board does not feel
that it is appropriate for share applications to be a lottery. Accordingly it
has been decided to defer the closing date for applications until there is some
certainty as to the operation of the postal system.
