MEDTOX Scientific Approved for Listing on NASDAQ; Announces Fourth Quarter and Year-End Conference Call

MEDTOX Scientific, Inc. (AMEX:TOX), today announced that
it has been approved to list its common shares on the NASDAQ National
Market and that its Board of Directors has approved the decision to
move the listing from the American Stock Exchange to NASDAQ National
Market. MEDTOX will commence trading on NASDAQ on Thursday, February
16, 2006, under the ticker symbol MTOX.

   MEDTOX will hold a teleconference to discuss fourth quarter and
year-end results on Wednesday, March 1, at 9:30 a.m. Central Time
(10:30 a.m. Eastern). During the conference call the Company may
discuss and answer questions concerning business and financial
