COO Appointment and Operational Management Strengthened


Synergy Healthcare plc, a leading provider of outsourced medical support
services within the UK, announces three appointments to the operational
management team as the company gears up for new opportunities arising from the
Department of Health's strategy to outsource all 275 sterile service departments
of the NHS in England over the next four years.



Tony Woolgar, has been appointed as Chief Operating Officer starting today.  Mr
Woolgar has had thirty years of experience in the healthcare industry.  He has
held a number of senior NHS management appointments during this period including
Chief Executive posts at; North Bristol NHS Trust, Pinderfields & Pontefract
Hospitals NHS Trust and prior to that, Pontefract Hospitals NHS Trust.  Mr
Woolgar has also had wide experience of working with the Department of Health on
policy development and NHS reform.



The company has also appointed two Group Commercial Managers; Jane Bacon and Sue
Cowley, who will be jointly responsible for managing commercial activities in
the Surgical and Healthtex divisions.
