                     PROTEC PLC ("Protec" or the "Company")

Application has been made for 8,250,000 new Ordinary Shares to be admitted to
trading on the Alternative Investment Market of the London Stock Exchange.  The
new ordinary shares will rank pari passu with the existing ordinary shares and
trading is expected to commence on 7 October 2003.

The proceeds of #500,000, received from the second tranche of the subscription
of #1,750,000, by Midia Investments SA, will be used to fund the ongoing
development of the Company.
