Three Nuveen Closed-End Funds Issue At-Par Redemption Notice for Auction-Rate Preferred Securities

Nuveen Investments, a leading global provider of investment services to institutions and high-net-worth investors, today announced that the Nuveen Georgia Premium Income Municipal Fund (AMEX: NPG) and the Nuveen Georgia Dividend Advantage Municipal Fund (AMEX: NZX) called for a full redemption at par of their outstanding auction-rate preferred securities. The Nuveen Maryland Dividend Advantage Municipal Fund 3 (AMEX: NWI) called for redemption at par a portion of its outstanding auction-rate preferred securities. These redemptions will be funded by proceeds received from the issuance of MuniFund Term Preferred Shares (MTP).

NPG is redeeming all of its $25.7 million of currently outstanding ARPS.
