NEW YORK, Dec. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- The American Stock Exchange(R) (Amex(R)) today began trading Merrill Lynch's Accelerated Return Bear Market Notes Linked to the Performance of the Philadelphia Stock Exchange (PHLX) Housing Sector Index. Priced at $10.00 with an initial offer size of 8,300,000 shares, this equity trades under the ticker symbol MPL and has a maturity date of March 22, 2007. The notes are issued by Merrill Lynch.
