COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho, Nov. 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Metalline Mining Company (AMEX:MMG) has received the following drill results for diamond drill holes drilled to continue evaluating the oxide zinc mineralized area located two kilometers west of the Iron Oxide Manto in the San Salvador, Encantada and Fronteriza mines. As previously announced a feasibility study is in progress on the Iron Oxide Manto mineralization. Seven diamond drill holes were completed from four drill sites that tested an area approximately 250 meters East-West and 200 meters North-South. Five holes intersected mineralized intervals of economic interest, two holes did not intersect mineralization of economic interest and one hole is still pending assays. A total of 13 holes have been drilled by North Limited, Penoles and Metalline in this area. Hole D5060622 is offset about 5 meters east of Penoles' SMW4A hole. The mineralization in D50622 occurs at a higher elevation than the mineralization in SMW4A indicating a probable fault offset of mineralization between the two holes. D5060622 confirms mineralization of economic interest, additional drilling is required to determine the distribution and potential of this mineralization. Open pit mining is lower cost than underground methods and allows mining very low grade mineralization. As an example, San Cristobal, located in Bolivia, is currently under construction and projected to be in production in 2007 with announced reserves of 219 million tonnes proven and probable, with grades of 64.7 g Ag/t, 1.6% Zn and 0.6% Pb. Open pit production is targeted at 40,000 tonnes per day.
