Magic Lantern Group Renews Exclusive, Long-Term Agreement With
Annenberg/CPB
NEW YORK, Sept. 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Magic Lantern Group, Inc.
(AMEX:GML), a leading international distributor of educational content and
third-generation, digital content and e-delivery solutions, announced today
that the Company has signed a three-year extension on an existing agreement
with Annenberg/CPB, North America's leading provider of instructional
programming and professional development for K-12 teachers. Annenberg/CPB is a
unit of The Annenberg Foundation, which was created in 1981, through a $150
million gift from Ambassador Walter Annenberg to the Corporation for Public
Broadcasting (CPB), to improve education for all Americans.
According to the agreement, Magic Lantern Group has the exclusive rights to
distribute Annenberg programs in analog, DVD and VCD format to individuals and
organizations and by television broadcasting throughout Canada. Magic Lantern
Group President and CEO Bob Goddard stated, "We have worked closely with
Annenberg/CPB as their exclusive Canadian distributor for more than two
decades. With this extended content, we expect to increase annual revenues by
75% from one of our most successful product lines."

Annenberg/CPB's video programs reach their audiences from a multi-tier,

channel, called the Annenberg/CPB Channel. Second, they are streamed on-demand
on the Learner.org web site. Third, they are distributed for purchase on
videocassette through 1-800-LEARNER and online ordering at Learner.org. Fourth,
the instructional series are licensed by the PBS Adult Learning Service to
colleges and universities for distance-learning telecourses and aired for
general viewing on PBS stations.
