THE EASTERN EUROPEAN TRUST PLC (the "Company")
Investment policy
The Board of the Company notes the publication of the Investment Entities
(Listing Rules and Conduct of Business) Instrument 2003 and confirms that the
Company's investment policy is to achieve long-term capital growth by investing
in a diversified portfolio of securities of companies operating in Eastern
Europe, Russia and other states of the former Soviet Union.
It is not the Company's policy to invest in securities issued by other UK listed
investment companies including investment trusts (as covered by Chapter 21 of
the UKLA Listing Rules). The Board confirms that there is no reasonable prospect
of the Company making such investments.
