Eagle Broadband, Inc.(AMEX: EAG), a national provider of broadband,
Internet Protocol (IP) and digital communications technology and
services, today announced it has entered into a multi-year agreement
with FrontGate Broadband, a multi-service broadband provider, to deliver
IPTV services to condominium and master planned properties in Florida.
Since December, Eagle has been delivering IPTV signals on a test basis
to FrontGate MediaCom, a division of FrontGate Broadband, which plans to
deliver a wide range of popular standard and high-definition programming
to properties under contract to FrontGate. This programming supports
FrontGate’s package of advanced voice-over-IP,
high-speed data, security, environmental monitoring, white-glove
amenities, wellness technology solutions and interactive entertainment
services.
Based in Orlando, Florida, FrontGate Broadband will build and deliver
fully integrated IP services over private, fiber-to-the-user (FTTU)
networks to thousands of homes and end users.
“Eagle’s IPTV
content-delivery capabilities are unmatched in the industry,”
said David Suarez, president of FrontGate MediaCom (and former CEO of
All Access Technologies). “With the ability to
deliver over 250 channels of in-demand, high-definition programming, we
can truly provide complete luxury service bundles to our high-end
clients. Furthermore, since FrontGate Broadband already has numerous
properties that are expected to be under contract in the near future, we
expect to have active subscribers shortly.”
“David Suarez explored alternative IPTV
content-delivery options, but selected Eagle to support FrontGate’s
needs,” said Dave Micek, president and CEO of
Eagle Broadband. “So, quite naturally, we
recognize that selection as a resounding endorsement of the unique IPTV
value proposition provided by Eagle’s IPTV
Complete™ solution.”
