Cash Systems, Inc. (Amex: CKN), a provider of cash
access solutions for the gaming industry, today announced that
Katherine W. Bloomfield was appointed to Chief Information Officer and
that Steven R. Staehr was appointed to Controller.
Ms. Bloomfield joins Cash Systems with twenty years of technology
and operations experience. She was Vice President of Operations at
Visionshare Inc. in St. Paul, Minnesota, where she was directly
responsible for technical operations, product development and support,
and business and information systems. Prior to joining Visionshare
Inc. in 2003, Ms. Bloomfield spent four years as Vice President of
Technical Operations at Stellent, Inc., where she was responsible for
the delivery of consulting services, product training and support, as
well as all aspects of the Company's technical operations. Previous to
joining Stellent, Inc. in 1998, she was a Principal Consultant at
PriceWaterhouseCoopers LLP, and held various project management
positions at Apertus Technologies (acquired by Oracle) and Empros
(formerly a division of Control Data Corporation).
Mr. Staehr was Vice President and Chief Financial Offer of Encore
Productions, a full-service entertainment production and audio visual
equipment rental company based in Las Vegas, Nevada. Prior to his six
years at Encore Productions, he spent over nine years in senior
financial and accounting positions within the gaming industry. Mr.
Staehr was the Corporate Controller at Mirage Resorts, Inc. from 1997
through 1999, where he was responsible for all aspects of financial
reporting and financial management for the hotel and casino, as well
as coordination with outside auditors, the IRS, state and local
authorities, the Securities and Exchange Commission and various
lending institutions. Before joining Mirage Resorts, Inc., Mr. Staehr
was the Assistant Corporate Controller at Boyd Gaming Corporation, an
operator of 14 hotel and casino properties throughout the U.S., which
has annual revenues exceeding $1 billion per year. Previous to his six
years at Boyd Gaming Corporation, he was the Senior Corporate Internal
Auditor at Caesars World, Inc. a casino operator in Las Vegas, Nevada,
as well as a Senior Staff Account at Deloitte & Touche CPA's.
