Cognitronics Corporation (AMEX:CGN), a leading provider of audio
conferencing solutions and call processing technology, today announced
the appointment of Bob Fleming to the position of Chairman of the Board
of Directors, effective immediately. Additionally, Rob Scott has been
named to the Board of Directors, as a standing member. Mr. Fleming
succeeds Jack Meehan, who has tendered his resignation as a director of
the company.
Mr. Fleming’s experience in business
infrastructure software and systems and communications technologies will
be a driving force in the company’s increased
focus on next-generation voice services and conferencing solutions. Mr.
Fleming is a co-founder of Prism Venture Partners and currently sits on
the board of Polatis (formerly Continuum Photonics), and Kaon
Interactive. Prism Venture Partners currently holds greater than 19% of
the outstanding shares in Cognitronics.

Along with Mr. Fleming, Rob Scott brings with him a wealth of
conferencing experience which will be a valuable asset to the Board. Mr.
Scott, CEO Xelor software, most recently served as president and CEO at
IPeria, a provider of network-based voice messaging applications. Prior
to IPeria, Scott was chairman and co-founder of Octave Communications, a
pioneer in the conferencing industry. Octave was acquired by Voyant
Technologies in January 2003.
