RNS Number:4049R Central African Mining&Exploration 29 October 2003 Central African Mining & Exploration Company Plc ('CAMEC') EX SENIOR EXECUTIVE AT LONRHO JOINS CAMEC'S BOARD Central African Mining & Exploration Company Plc, the AIM listed fully integrated exploration, mining, trading and investment company, has appointed Malcolm Richard Wilson (58) as a new executive director. Mr Wilson has an extensive track record at executive level and considerable experience with African companies. In his 18-year tenure, he rose to chief executive officer & group managing director of Lonrho Properties & Construction Africa Ltd, within the multi national conglomerate Lonrho plc, with interests in sectors including mining, hotels and motor distribution. He has also held directorship positions with DuPont Fabros Development LLC, a Washington DC based development and construction firm and Matrix Projects (Pty) Ltd, a developer of major retail malls in South Africa. Mr Wilson currently holds directorships as follows: Dalton Ventures LLC (Country of incorporation: USA) Eden Ventures LLC (Country of incorporation: USA) Synthesis Projects (Pty) Ltd In addition to those directorships mentioned above, Mr Wilson's past directorships (in the five years prior to his appointment at CAMEC) were as follows: Lonrho Africa Properties Construction Associates Zimbabwe Lonhro Properties Kenya CAMEC Chairman Phil Edmonds said: "Malcolm is an internationally experienced senior level engineer and business executive who has a proven track record of significantly growing businesses and delivering results to shareholders. He will help us to continue our expansion strategy of pursing value added projects and achieve our vision of developing CAMEC into a substantial and fully integrated exploration, mining, trading and investment company.
