Provide 'Single Source Solution' Nationwide SOUTH HACKENSACK, N.J., March 8 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- CD&L, Inc. (AMEX:CDV), the leading national provider of customized same-day courier, distribution and logistics services, announced plans to expand the scope of CD&L Logistics, the company's 3PL based services. CD&L Logistics competes for a share of the estimated $80 billion dollar domestic logistics market, which includes the outsourcing of supply chain management, fleet replacement and last mile delivery. In making the announcement, Group President Michael Brooks stated "Today's demand for single-source providers has lead more and more companies to include outsourced logistic services as part of their core business model. Our Logistics group is in the unique position to offer customers a 'seamless delivery system' combining CD&L operations with 3PL resources under one umbrella." Mr. Brooks announced that Stuart Hyden has been assigned to lead CD&L Logistics as Vice President, Logistics. Chairman and CEO Al Van Ness added; "Our Logistics Group will capitalize on CD&L's experience, industry knowledge and proven track-record to become a significant provider to companies that choose to outsource their transportation needs. Our customers have told us they want one provider that can meet all of their supply-chain needs across the country, and CD&L Logistics provides just what our customers need." The company has developed a fully integrated, web-based technology platform that provides logistics customers full visibility into their shipments from on-line order entry, to track-and-trace capabilities, to detailed management reports. Over the past three months the company has also added additional Business Development Managers to sell its logistics services. CD&L operates from 98 locations in 25 states, including operations in 28 customer owned facilities, providing last mile delivery solutions to various industries.
