A. M. Castle & Co. Files Application to Transfer to New York Stock Exchange

FRANKLIN PARK, Ill., May 14  /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- A. M. CASTLE & CO. (AMEX:CAS) announced today that the Company filed an application to transfer the listing of its common stock to the New York Stock Exchange ("NYSE") from the Chicago Stock Exchange ("CHX"), where its stock has been listed since 1928 and the American Stock Exchange ("AMEX"), where its stock is also traded. Pending approval of the application, the Company anticipates that its stock will begin trading on the NYSE in late May 2007.  Until that time, the Company's stock will continue to trade on the CHX and AMEX exchanges under the symbol "CAS".
