FRANKLIN PARK, Ill., July 21  /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- A.M. CASTLE & CO.
(AMEX:CAS), a North American distributor of highly engineered metals and
plastics, today announced that it will release second quarter and year-to-date
results for the periods ended June 30, 2005 on Tuesday August 2, 2005.

Management will hold a conference call at 11:00 a.m. ET that day to review the
company's results for the three and six months ended June 30, 2005.  The call
can be accessed via the Internet live or as a replay. Investors may access the
webcast through http://www.earnings.com/ .

The conference call will be archived for replay on the above website for 14
days following the call.
