BATS 1000 Jumps 3.1% This Week

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - July 12, 2013 - BATS Global Markets, a leading operator of securities markets in the U.S. and Europe, reports the BATS 1000^® Index (Ticker: BATSK) advanced 563.40 points, or 3.1% this week to close at 18,837.71 as of the 4 p.m. ET market close today.

Utilities led all ten of the sectors that comprise the Index higher for the week, outperforming the broader Index with a gain of 4.4%. Technology and Communications, along with Alternative Resources and Energy, trailed the broader Index, yet still rose 2.3% each.
