ACM Municipal Securities Income Fund, Inc. Announces Closing of Acquisition of the Fund by AllianceBernstein National Municipal

NEW YORK, May 18  /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- ACM Municipal Securities Income Fund, Inc. ("ACM Municipal"; NYSE: AMU) announced that the acquisition of the assets and the assumption of the liabilities of ACM Municipal by AllianceBernstein National Municipal Income Fund, Inc. ("National Municipal" - NYSE: AFB) (the "Acquisition") took place as of the close of business on May 18, 2007.

As a result of the Acquisition, the holders of preferred shares series A, B, and C of ACM Municipal received preferred shares series W, M, and TH, respectively, of National Municipal.  Set forth below is a list of the preferred shares series of each Fund and its respective auction interest rate as of the close of business on May 18, 2007:
