Posted at 27/2/2006 02:58 by noirua Rinker Group are through the A$18 mark this morning for the first time. Many have expessed concerns as to whether the price could continue to rise at the same pace. Rinker, when they split from CSR., 2.5 years ago, were the 119th largest company in Australia, they are now the 17th largest. Since the USA quote they have been heavily re-rated, with the 10% buy-back and 52% rise in profits pointing the way forward. |

Posted at 28/1/2005 09:36 by growbag No-one seems interested in actually researching the potential of the biopartners portfolio. And that is what ultimately will underpin the futureshare price. Neither compound has convincingly shown clinical effectiveness in humans, and both are a long way from doing so. I'm not saying that this isn't worth a punt. But its also worth bearing in mind that GS hold the patents to these compounds, and have declined to pursue development themselves. Bringing either the migraine or schizophrenia products to market will probably take at least two-three years, and require several cash injections and dilution. Been there before with companies like Cortecs, Chiroscience etc ... if you can remember what happened to them. |
