Posted at 05/11/2009 13:59 by egoi RECOMMENDED CASH OFFER OF 27.5 PENCE PER SHARE BY CONSORT MEDICAL PLC FOR THE MEDICAL HOUSE PLC Offer declared unconditional in all respects The Consort Medical Board is pleased to announce that its recommended cash offer (with a Loan Notes Alternative) for the entire issued and to be issued share capital of The Medical House is unconditional in all respects. The Offer, which remains subject to the terms and conditions set out in the Offer Document and the Form of Acceptance has been extended and will remain |
Posted at 24/9/2009 14:14 by sandbank NOT SO HASTY: Although the directors of MLH have "irrevocably" committed their shares they've only got 35% of the issued capital. This deal is therefore all down to the shareholders - and the shareholders don't like it one bit. Even the chairman of MLH, Ian Townsend, appears to concede this morning that the offer from Consort Medical is a pretty miserly one. He says "The Offer represents a "good" premium to the share price. His use of the adjective "good" - as opposed to "excellent" or "generous" is - in effect - damning the offer with faint praise. The MLH chairman then says "Like many small companies, the market has not recognised the full value of The Medical House". Damn right. That is an open offer for someone else to mount a rival bid. In fact both companies seem to expect a better bid to materialise. This morning's RNS says the board's "irrevocable" undertakings will still continue to be binding even "if a higher offer is made." The MLH shareholders should not surrender and meekly allow their pockets to be picked. |
Posted at 24/9/2009 08:46 by theoriginalwonderstuff Poor premium if you bought it for the potential bid situation ... Got in at a break back of 26.6; so 27.5 is not exactly a great return! Not even sure if in % terms, it's better than the dour high street rates ... Any chance a share holder rebellion ... Esp. as floated at 50p .... |
Posted at 16/9/2009 10:30 by kish_008 I would expect higher than 33p. An interesting article below relating to investors looking for patents. Bodes well for MLH |
Posted at 09/9/2009 12:32 by geraldus According to the Times today they report that broker Finn Cap now regards an appropriate price for MLH is 33p |
Posted at 08/9/2009 08:59 by handykart MLH is doing fine, nice steady rise. |
Posted at 13/8/2009 09:18 by philjeans Expected profit taking this morning after a nice rise. But the results next month will easily justify this share price anyway with a very bullish outlook; and leaves nothing in the price so far for a potential bid. Having worked so hard on their design and relationship building, I really can't see the directors accepting less than 40p cash and maybe double that. As a long term holder here, I'm happy to hang on, bid or no bid - good times are comin'. |
Posted at 12/8/2009 22:29 by topinfo From respected poster LSE "This is what I footprinted on the Premium Chat earlier. I would not expect the Board to accept anything less than 50p/share. With a fair wind and a bit of luck there may be a full cash offer tabled and not a scheme of arrangement. "These shares have been trading at well below true value for far too long and has left itself open to an opportune offer. These shares are easily worth 50p plus. The Medical House plc ("Medical House" or the "Company") announces that it has received an approach which may or may not lead to an offer for the Company. A further announcement will be made in due course" |
Posted at 12/8/2009 21:52 by 8trade I do believe you when you say you make money but the way you operateon this site is just pure shameless with all these target prices and then you sell way below them, remember Proton Power using your alias bobbytupper for a pump and dump "10p+" then you vanished after the dump with the price nowhere near it, if you want to accuse me of using alias's then i will be on your case like a ton of bricks, fact is there's a lot of people that have cottoned onto you, they know what you do and frankly they dont like it fact. |
Posted at 12/8/2009 12:36 by egoi Well done Philjeans but I'd caution that there's no mention of a price or of any bid materialising. It would be rather unusual for someone to offer double the market share price, regardless of liquidity. |
