Trading conditions, particularly in the Asia Pacific region, remain difficult with group turnover running marginally behind forecast, it added. However, the board believes it is capable of returning to profitability at the operating level in the medium term. Referring to the disposal, it said it agreed a preliminary deal to sell its freehold property at in Aegaleo, Greece for an expected 3.6 mln eur. It said Gyllenhammar "has indicated a willingness in principle to become involved in a transaction with the company in his capacity as a private investor". As a result of a potential conflict of interest, Gyllenhammar has decided to resign his directorship with immediate effect, in order that he can act more freely.
