Yes I am sure there was somthing like that as I never understood why we did not get some cash from that,but the goings on between billiam and zyz was a bit murky and one area I was none to sure about at the time,wish we had a bit more info about where to co is headed as I think it will stop people taking up all or even some of the new shares,like the rest of you I had written it off.

The mispelling in the thread title was mine - apologies but I don't think ADVFN thread titles can be edited easily.

Meanwhile I have wriiten off ZYZ losses as a bad job and learning experience
so if anything is salvaged from the wreck that would be a bonus.

Not keen to add more to the my existing investment in the co.

I thought BillamAG bought some ZYZ marinetrack or other ZYZ investee co shares shares from ZYZ for a deferred purchase price. Does anyone recall and if so what happened to the deferred consideration?

In broadest terms, syzygy is a kind of unity, especially through coordination or alignment, most commonly used in the astronomical and/or astrological sense ...

However, the correct name for this share has always been Zyzygy, to my knowledge.

I was once a participant in the share, perhaps in the days when it was better spelled. It should be 'Zyzygy'. This has a technical meaning, to do with the Moon's rotation.

O.D. - 4255 - the document says on P3 that "under the terms of the CVA, it was agreed that the Existing Ords and the 775,266,000 additional ords to be issued" under the terms of the CVA, would be subject to a 10 for 1 consolidation (into shares of 1p),"followed by a sub-division to create new ords of 0.1p and deferred shares of 0.9p".

And this requires shareholders' approval at the AGM on 4th April.

Can you confirm what Godolphin says,

1 for 1 offer and 10:1 consolation.

The 10:1 consolidation is that just for the old shares?
Or is it also for the new shares as well (i.e. just to get the numbers of shares down).

TIA. I doubt any info will come through to the nominees. As I don't think they are in crest or settled so don't see them in the account!

I agree, half1. Would have liked a chance to see the new directors, let alone get some idea of where they think they're going to find affordable investments, Also, have to say, I have had rather enough of holes in the ground with fantastic potential that turn out to be "dry". Will see if any more info. forthcoming before deadline. Otherwise will just hold on to my existing shares.

..I will wait and see how this spans out. I was in GGT at a big loss for a couple of years - then there was rumours it was to be bought out and trade again - so I more than doubled my stake there, end up doubling my money and coming out at about 1-2p ( I cant remember exactly). GGT (global gaming technologies) became, by reverse take over SRSP (Sirius Petroleum) and eventually stopped trading last year(as you can see if you look it it up) at about 9.4p! But I kicked myself for leaving at 2pish as it began to rise, but in the end did make a profit on my investment (though less than it might have been).....so I am left uncertain here. We need more information.

Similar situation at REM.
The company is valued at several million and all they've got is £600,000 cash.

change of direction worked out ok for Berkeley Mining, they went from electronics to mining, we can hope for a similar turn around here hopefully.

Well, simply put if you have 1m shares you will end up with 100k shares. The old price was .08p so you had £800 and the new price is .25p so you now have £250.

There's 990m shares which goes to 99m after the consolidation. Then 1.1b shares issued, so it's roughly 12 to 1. But you can buy shares in the open offer if you think .25p is a good price. Which is 3 times the last price so in terms of value it's only 3.3 to 1.
I hope that's right since I'll have to explain it to a friend of mine who still has these, thanks to me! I don't have any!
