Problem being that circa 50% plus of restaurants are very likely to close over the coming months

Many have made announcements already

People are now becoming afraid of eating out ---- and IMO rightly so

In South Korea they are now serving food by robots

Timing is all

================= Covid-19 is only just beginning ===================

Hundreds of millions of small businesses are going bankrupt

It is a terrible situation, a health issue has got so out of control it’s knocking the world into, not just a recession, but a huge economic contraction

It looks similar to the Gizmo Bar bar screen introduced last year, both use a 50" screen but unsure to other aspects.

Either way, it seems to suggest continued interest in this sector.

Do we provide the touch sensors for that? Can't see a reference.

Despite COVID-19, touchscreens aren't going anywhere

Despite the coronavirus, touch is not going away. In fact, over time, it may very well increase its presence in public spaces. How can this be?

Part of the recent selling pressure may have been down to a recent (Aug 19th) Investors Chronicle article.

Their rationale or concern seems to be why private equity hasn't made a move, odd reason for selling but there you go.

Just checked RSP, bid at 101 so hopefully all done.

@PUGUGLY

I've just been looking at the annual accounts pdf to September 2019.

Two things

1. It states: "We are proposing a review of our websites to determine
how we can strengthen our SEO rankings to attract further new customers."

So they are (of course) aware of the need to be relevant even though there market is all B2B. It looks as if they have some way to go

2. The accounts document is really good - whoever is responsible for it should be (and may be) involved heavily with the website IMO.

Still think a Sales and Marketing director should be on the main board.

1pensil. Interesting especially the hammer - baseball and drill but - maybe I am an old sceptic might have been more impressive to have shown before and after execution of specific commands rather than swirly lines. However certainly sold the "sizzle"

Brought back memories of early days in sales promotion when a rep - trying to sell an "unbreakably polypropylene brief case" to be used as a dealer premium.

Put 3 London phone books inside and dropped 2 fights down the stairwell.

Then gave him a dustpan and brush!!!

I think its a bit difficult when you don't really have a complete product, perhaps the sizzle element comes from end product manufacture where everything is brought together.

Couple of videos which i thought help convey USP's well.

1pencil - The same principles apply B2C or B2B - Sell the sizzle and obtain interest first - Then follow up with specific specs when you have an enquiry. Most specs will need tweeking for each customer and publishing specs risks (imo) a turn-off if do not meet exact needs.

Apart from which publishing full specks risks giving your competitors targets to beat.

I guess it depends on the target audience. Zytronic is pretty much B2B exclusively with little or no retail exposure.

The products are components within a finished designed so technical specification is all important to those designing and making final selections. Reviews/comments tend to reflect this with most of the feedback being technical related.

CityPost product by Nanove Displays (below), again, many of the pages are technical specifications rather than a typical sales brochure.

CliffPeat. While not having waded through all the videos etc could not agree more with your sales proposition.

* USP- Unique sales proposition - Should be encapsulated in headline or 1st paragraph.

* Customer benefit - "What does the potential purchaser need - how can our touch screen help them to meet their need - in short sharp bullets next

Then next pages case histories and invitation to contact us with their needs and we will supply them with solutions.

Sounds easy but needs strict sales discipline - OK sounds relatively easy but then I was in sales and marketing all my commercial life

Is marketing skill in short supply at ZYT?

4 directors - comprising 2 NEDs with financial/investment backgrounds, FD and CEO who appears to have been involved in development, production as well as sales and marketing during his 20 years with the group.

Is it time for an effective marketing/sales director to bring new commercial focus, creativity and energy to the top table? Perhaps someone being held back in a competitor business?

ZYT is a serious company with proven competence in a highly technical market. But it feels as if communication with the market place might be a weak spot.

The following is just my (accountant's) opinion and comments from a cursory look at the YouTube channels of the company and its website. Don't bother to read if you disagree with the above.

Website (conclusion that more and better videos required):

Case studies IMO are better with introductory short videos supporting the "words")

Then for example take "Insights" - which includes this interesting proposition:

BUT

It is pages long and doesn't arrive at a point of relevance to ZYT for 7 dense paragraphs "setting the context".

Why not make a short video with a technician or sales person introducing the Insight and getting the "point" in a few seconds then suggesting those wanting a deep dive read the article below?

And that particular article - however interesting it might be - could really do with a copywriter's edit.

Product videos:
I've been looking at some of the YouTube videos and many of them have the same irritating "plinkety-plonk" backing music. Wearing if you watch more than one.

The ones I have watched don't have a "call to action" attached other than the web link nor any footage of installed real-life applications with "real" users.

Just a couple of long-winded comments to illustrate how the company might do a lot better.
